Directed by Prakash Rao Kovelamudi, Judgmental Hai kya is a "crazy" movie. Remember Andhadhun, one of the finest movies of 2018 ! Judgemental hai kya sings the same tune....but of course it's a very different movie. Andhadhun was stuffed with great performers and it's the same here...Kangana Ranaut , a three time National Award winner is in her comfort zone while Mr. Rao gives his best shots and both come out as great entertainment for the audience. I had fun watching this movie....but lets get into the other side.... because its not everyone's cup of tea. The movie opens with young Bobby and her miserable childhood. Her parents are in constant war and it ends up in an accidental death of both of them witnessed by the little Bobby. She grows up to a doubtful woman towards men and an over protective towards the women around her. She is not normal, of course, she speaks her mind, does what she wants , dresses up the way she wants and never apologetic

Kangana ranaut the lead and centre of the film is outstanding playing Bobby. In this bobby suffers from acute psychosis and she visualizes things. In this movie she is also a dubbing artist who likes get into the character she dubs for. Also as usual Raj Kumar rao work is fabulous and fantastic.

Suspiciousness, delusions, hallucinations are some of the prime symptoms of acute psychosis and Kangana Raunat has not left any stone unturned in playing a character who is experiencing this mental condition. Undoubtedly she has lifted every motion and every scene set like a one man army.

Awesome movie with crisp and flawless screenplay, superb direction, mind blowing background music and excellent performance by Kangana and Rajkumar... Let haters give their nonsense reviews but Kangana is a complete package who can effortlessly enter into any character and the result is superb. Just go for the movie without giving it another thought...shame on haters...it's a masterpiece...only people having mind can enjoy..Judgemental Hai Kya' is not a good movie. Based on mental illness- Kangana Ranaut plays a psychotic girl. She has performed ex extraordinarily well her role- a performance that doesn't fail to impress. But with the psyche delics, the storyline and the 'masalal they try to sprinkle the movie doesn't take off.

This thriller movie will surely impress you. Kangana with her skills did a fantastic job, no other one would have pulled this phenomenal acting. Rajkumar also did an outstanding job, especially during climax. Director Prakash K has managed well to capture the mental states of his leads. Overall a good thriller with some great acting.

Judgementall Hai Kya plays with the mind and thats its USP. Kovelamudi's narrative is quirky, trippy, crisp and keeps you on the edge throughout. It's not your usual whodunnit thriller because Judgementall Hai Kya goes beyond suspense and delves into something deeper.

'Judgemental Hai Kya' is not a good movie. Based on mental illness- Kangana Ranaut plays a psychotic girl. She has performed extraordinarily well her role- a performance that doesn't fail to impress. But with the psychedelics, the storyline and the 'masala' they try to sprinkle - the movie doesn't take off. There are no high points except the predictable end scene, the poetic justice, and 'happy' ending. Kangana looks stunning in some scenes but the movie although hugely different.

Directed by Prakash staring Kangana and Rajkumar Rao, this thriller will surely entice you. This is one of those movies which matches the 'Hollywood' levels of thriller movie making. The plot is excellent with some mini sub plot lines. The comedy and punch lines in the movie adds an extra flavor to this thriller. Kangana did a brilliant job dominating throughout the movie. The climax was superb with Rajkumar Rao hitting it out of the park with his expressions. A must watch. Go without seeing any spoilers.

Judgemental hai kya is a good mix of comedy/thrill/fantasy. The story at it's core is quite straightforward but the way it's presented is very quirky and interesting. Acting wise- Kangana is superb! She makes you laugh, she makes you believe that she IS the character. Rajkumar is good as always. The supporting cast does justice to their roles. The 1st half is solid. It sets the tone of the film/the character arcs etc pretty well. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the pacing of the 2nd half could be fastened a little - a couple of scenes could be edited. Overall I did enjoy the movie (the strong performance and the presentation). It's a refreshing take. But it's quite a niche movie which may not have a mass appeal.

It takes Guts, lot of guts to portray such dark, deep beautiful characters. An actor goes through a lot of issues playing so many people in one single life. Whatever struggles Kangana has gone through. I'm thankful. They may have led her to discover her talent to such a great extent. Her acting is as always beautiful, well researched and Not Over acting. Infact I believe her 'mental' is very subtle. Not over played. (What's eating Gilbert Grape? now that was an obvious portrayal of a mental illness). Here it was subtle and beautifully presented. Rajkumar Rao is again very gifted himself. But I believe he had a quite one dimensional character and the story was mostly about Kangana so Rao didn't have much leaway to express the character more. Their chemistry is electric. The songs, the costumes, the screenplay. I LOVED IT. Although a bit predictable in the second half, movie was quite enjoyable! Apart from that ... We know the outside, the news reports, her behaviour Now. we donnot know and can never know about what conspired behind. Before Kangana started behaving this way. Nobody loves an honest person. She has been honest from the start. And we all know what happens to honesty in these times. :)

The movie and the characters grow upon you and keep you glued to your seats till the end. Hats off to the writer, actors, cinematographer and background score for helping in building the narrative. Some parts might leave you bewildered but just wait for it to wind up. Such a delight to see actors like Kangana, Raj, Hussain, Satish Kaushik to play off each other. Every actor has its role to play and leaves an impression which makes you hard to forget anyone of them. Yet again Kangana has outdone herself and Raj as always will leave you asking for more. A must watch for people who say Bollywood doesn't produce great memorable characters and movies anymore.

To begin with, finally Bollywood is coming of age. Film makers are realizing that Indian audience are smart and will appreciate a good movie and need not be spoon-fed run of the mill, running around the tree kind of stories. Take a bow, Kangana! You are one of the finest actors and it is a treat watching you. People, dont fall for negative publicity. Do go and watch the movie. Even if it is not your kind of a genre, you will still appreciate a well made, intelligent movie. Loved it to the core of my heart !!

Judgementall Hai Kya is a worth watching cinema if we see it from the eyes of artists or film-geeks but the film has hardly anything to offer for a large part of Indian audience. You may blame the audience at the end for not watching this movie, but that’s what we are and most of us still go to theatres just to seek entertainment or inspiration. Though this film has a very good story, edge of the seat thrill, excellent performances by the lead pair, brilliant background score and cinematography, sadly it’s not enough for the audience if the film lacks one of the two major factors. Though if you are among the exceptional ones, the film will appeal to you.Judgementall Hai Kya has everything but it lacks the most important ingredients for a Hit film.

A brutual childhood trauma leaves Bobby (Kangana Ranaut) diagnosed with acute psychosis in her adult years. And after doing time at an asylum for assaulting a coworker, she is let off on the condition that she will stick with her medication. Rajkumar Rao is noticeably good as always and has done full justice on his role. There are moments where you can feel yourself being in the tussle to decide between Kangana and Raj that who has done a better job. Movie longs for 2 hours and post interval Jimmy shergil is there. Script is detailed and story is brewed utterly fresh. You can clearly feel the aspects of Kangana's conditions and also the clause behind that is shown at the very first so you will be able to establish a relevance from the very start itself. Overall it's worth at least one time watch.

Prateek posted a review for Judgementall Hai Kya in Movies
Judgementall Hai Kya’ Movie Review: A mind-bending and thrilling film that presents male violence against women with a whole new approach. The two main characters in the film are Bobby (Kangana Ranaut) and Keshav (Rajkummar Rao). Bobby has a mental disorder called “acute psychosis” as a doctor explains in the film. Bobby’s so-called boyfriend, Varun (Hussain Dalal), explains, in layman’s terms, that she has “complexes” in her mind. Ever since she was a small girl, she has shown particular attention towards helpless women being bogged down by men’s brutality. It is this propensity towards women’s sufferings that makes her collect newspaper clippings on such news and make origami out of them. She winds up meeting Keshav as he, along with his wife (played by Amyra Dastur whose sensual scenes, in particular, with Rajkummar Rao were outstanding), rent a house of which Bobby is the landlord. Keshav’s character doesn’t give you a clear perception of what he’s like. Sometimes he is shown to be a good husband who is affectionate towards his wife. But you also get to see him doing peculiar things, which even Bobby notices, and make you believe he might not be a good person and hiding a villainous side of him. Things start turning topsy-turvy when Bobby gets “obsessed” with Keshav. She not only develops a feeling of lust towards Keshav but also gathers doubts if he’s intending to kill his wife. The film, then, leaves you startled, as the events that follow tests your ability to guess who’s the killer and who’s the saviour. Well, the credit goes to Kanika Dhillon’s fantastic writing, of course, for lending the film this absolute power of surprising you at all instances and never allowing you to settle down or have a sigh of relief. You always juggle between your assumptions based on different evidence that the film produces at every stage. After a while, you acquiesce to the brilliance of Dhillon’s superlative writing and allow the film to unfurl the answers to your questions all by itself. In short, just let Bobby do the judgement. The amazing background score and the horror-film-like feel makes the film even more thrilling... #JudgementallHaiKya

Boopathy posted a review for Judgementall Hai Kya in Movies
I went to watch the film with sky high expectations but the film didn’t completely live up to my expectations. The trailer itself gives a hint that Rajkummar Rao is the killer and in the movie it’s revealed that Rajkummar Rao is a psycho killer just like Christopher Nolan’s Joker or Ek Villian’s Ritesh Deshmukh who loves to hear the scream of people dying in pain. Kangana Ranaut as depicted in the trailer is suffering from acute psychosis and she completely lifts the entire film on her shoulders. Kangana’s psychic performance is something which these supermodels turned actresses like Deepika, Katrina, Anushka or Nepotism byproducts like Alia or Kareena can never ever play in their lifetime with utmost perfection as Kangana. Rajkummar Rao performance is as usual terrific and he is adorable throughout the film. The highlight of this film is how Ramayana is used to portray the characters and the way an analogy is established between Ramayana and this film. But the story is predictable from the moment when Rajkummar’s character Keshav tries to push Amyra Dastur’s character Reema in front of a moving car. It’s a thriller which is good but not something exceptional like Gone Girl, Kahaani or Badla which keeps you on the edge of your seat for most of the time. On a scale of 5 I would give this film a score of 3.
